Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations at a 106-bed skilled nursing facility. This leadership role requires prior Director of Nursing (DON) or equivalent supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility (no exceptions). A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available (limited time, two-year payout). The Director of Nursing manages the facility's nursing program in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, state and federal regulations, and organizational policies. Bonus Eligible: Yes Travel Required: Yes, Occasionally Basic Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN Preferred). Active RN license in the state of employment. Valid CPR certification. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or equivalent supervisory role in a skilled nursing facility. Job Functions: Conduct daily rounds to assess resident care and staff performance. Oversee hiring, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions for nursing staff. Develop and manage staffing schedules to meet facility needs. Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory standards. Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in facility committees. Monitor department budget, control expenses, and maintain fiscal responsibility. Investigate and resolve resident, family, and employee concerns promptly. Facilitate staff development through training, competency evaluations, and recognition programs. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in a timely manner. Serve as acting Administrator in their absence. Ensure timely follow-up on pharmacy, dietary, and physician consultations. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong leadership and team motivation skills. Excellent communication with residents, families, and staff at all levels. Ability to make quick, decisive actions in emergencies. Proficient in organizational and time-management skills. Knowledge of state/federal nursing regulations and best practices.
