Director of Nursing (DON) Starlite Recovery Center Full-Time
Position Summary
As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all nursing operations and establish the clinical standard for the organization. You will play a key role in leading teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving quality patient outcomes in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage nursing teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development to nursing leaders and staff
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including CMS and The Joint Commission (TJC)
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
Monitor clinical outcomes and lead quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support patient treatment plans
Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
Minimum 3+ years of RN experience (6+ years preferred)
Behavioral health nursing experience required (1+ year; 2+ years preferred), including inpatient, outpatient, psychiatric, or addiction recovery settings
Minimum 2+ years of progressive leadership or management experience
Prior Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager experience preferred
