Director of Nursing (RN)
Full-Time | $38-$45/hr
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8am-5:30pm & Friday, 8am-12pm
Location: Omaha, NE 68114


Please Note: This role will include approximately 15 hours/week of DON responsibilities, with the remaining time spent working as a floor nurse within the ASC.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced RN leader to serve as Director of Nursing while also supporting clinical operations as a floor nurse within the ASC. This role is responsible for overseeing staffing, compliance, safety, infection control, staff training, and quality improvement initiatives while helping ensure efficient daily operations and excellent patient care.

What You’ll Do
Leadership & Culture
  • Promote a collaborative, patient-focused team environment 
  • Support positive customer relations among staff and physicians 
  • Oversee staff training, orientation, competency validation, and ongoing evaluations 
  • Assist with employee and physician satisfaction initiatives 
Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with CMS SOM, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards 
  • Review complaints and utilize root-cause analysis processes 
  • Support Quality Assurance Process Improvement (QAPI) initiatives 
  • Complete required reports, audits, and documentation 
Safety, Infection Control & Regulatory Oversight
  • Oversee Life Safety, Radiation Safety, and Infection Control programs 
  • Conduct safety drills, inspections, meetings, and staff education 
  • Monitor compliance with safety and infection control policies 
  • Maintain required logs, binders, badges, and safety equipment 
Operations & Clinical Support
  • Help ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling to meet procedural needs 
  • Support daily ASC operations and compliance initiatives 
  • Perform floor nursing responsibilities within the ASC 
  • Participate in required training, in-services, and annual competencies 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with two (2) years of clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Minimum five (5) years of DON or management experience required, preferably in an ambulatory setting 
  • Current RN license required 
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required 
  • Certification as an Infection Preventionist preferred 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, internet applications, and healthcare operations 
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, office ethics, and healthcare compliance standards 
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality required
