Regions Hospital has a great opportunity to join our nursing leadership team as the Director of Nursing - Mental Health!

Our Mental Health Services provide highly reliable family centered care focused on health equity.

Under the direction of the Vice President of Patient Care Services, the Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, advancing patient safety, and driving initiatives that reduce medical errors. The Director will be accountable for the strategic, financial, and operational performance of our Mental Health Services. Key responsibilities include fostering a culture of continuous improvement in care quality and patient safety, striving for clinical excellence and minimizing risks associated with care delivery. The Director will also participate in business planning, program development and sustaining appropriate growth of Mental Health Services at Regions Hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduation from a nursing program
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Science or the Behavioral Sciences, i.e., psychology, sociology required

Experience:

  • At least five (5) years of nursing experience, with a minimum of:
  • Three (3) years in health care management; AND/OR
  • Two (2) years in quality improvement, case management or utilization review.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years experience of leadership in a Mental Health setting
  • Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
  • ANCC Nurse Executive Certification or other relevant certification
