REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
· Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Licensure
· Current unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse license
· Current Texas Licensed Home and Community Support Services Agency (HCSSA) Administrator License (or eligible to obtain)
· Valid driver's license
· Current CPR certification
Experience
· Minimum of five years of progressive nursing leadership experience
· Minimum of three years in Home Health/Hospice/Private Duty/Home Care leadership
· Experience serving as Director of Nursing
· Experience with Texas HCSSA regulations
· Survey readiness experience
· QAPI leadership experience
· Experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams
· Budget management experience
· Electronic Medical Record experience

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Leadership
· Director of Nursing leadership for all clinical services and patient care standards.
· Licensed Administrator oversight for agency operations, policies, and leadership alignment.
· Direct nursing practice to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
· Guide interdisciplinary coordination across clinical, operational, and administrative teams.
Regulatory Compliance
· Maintain agency compliance with:
· Texas HHSC requirements
· Medicare and Medicaid regulations
· HIPAA privacy and security standards
· OSHA workplace safety expectations
· All applicable federal, state, and local laws
Responsibilities include:
Monitor surveys, audits, and corrective action plans.
Maintain accurate documentation and agency records.
Support policy development and ongoing regulatory readiness.
Quality Improvement
Lead the QAPI Program to identify trends, measure outcomes, and strengthen clinical performance.
· Track quality metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
· Review incidents, complaints, and patient outcomes for patterns and action steps.
· Promote evidence-based practices and continuous learning across the team.
Clinical Operations
Provide oversight for:
Admissions and care planning processes Scheduling, staffing, and clinical coverage
Supply management and clinical resource allocation
Coordination with physicians, families, and community partners
Personnel Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and support a high-performing clinical team of RNs, LVNs, CNAs, and other care professionals.
· Hire, orient, and coach staff to strengthen competency and retention.
· Provide performance feedback, supervision, and professional development.
· Foster accountability, teamwork, and a culture of respect.
Responsibilities include:
· Schedule and lead staff meetings, huddles, and training sessions.
· Address staffing needs, performance concerns, and succession planning.

Patient Care Oversight
Ensure exceptional patient care by:
· Monitoring care delivery for safety, quality, and consistency.
· Reviewing assessments, plans of care, and documentation accuracy.
