Job Overview – Director of Nursing (Home Health)
Compensation: $118,000 – $130,000/year + bonus
Location: Albany County, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Director of Nursing (Home Health) in Albany County, NY for our client, supporting clinical operations, staff management, and regulatory compliance within a home health environment. This role oversees nursing teams, ensures quality patient care, and manages day-to-day clinical and administrative functions. The position requires strong leadership experience, knowledge of New York regulations, and the ability to manage a high-performing clinical team.

Responsibilities as the Director of Nursing (Home Health):
  • Clinical Leadership: Oversee nursing staff and clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care across home health services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to state, federal, and accreditation standards, including documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Staff Management: Lead recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of clinical and administrative staff.
  • Quality and Performance: Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor operational metrics to drive performance.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage patient records, staffing levels, and clinical workflows to support efficient operations.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support patient care and service delivery.

Qualifications for the Director of Nursing (Home Health):
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York is required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field is required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of clinical nursing experience with 2+ years in a leadership role within home health or a related setting is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of New York healthcare regulations and home health practices is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in clinical documentation systems and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage clinical operations in a fast-paced environment are required.
