Director of Nursing (DON) – Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Santa Rosa
Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: 190k- 250k + bonus & comprehensive benefits

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dynamic, and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department in providing exceptional care to residents in our skilled nursing facility. The DON will oversee all clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and inspire a culture of excellence among nursing staff.
What You'll Do
  • Provide leadership and direction for the nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care.
  • Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of nursing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing levels, and clinical resources effectively.
  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and advocate for professional growth and development within the nursing team.
  • Maintain open communication with residents, families, and staff to foster trust and positive relationships.
Qualifications
  • Current RN license in California
  • Prior SNF DON experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements (CMS, OBRA, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, staff development, and quality assurance initiatives.
