Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at a skilled nursing facility in Hempstead. This is a high-impact leadership role for a DON who understands how to drive quality care, maintain compliance, and build strong nursing teams.
If you’ve successfully led a SNF before and know how to keep survey readiness tight while supporting staff, this role is built for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all nursing operations within the facility
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
- Maintain survey readiness and manage audits/inspections
- Collaborate with administration on clinical and operational goals
- Monitor quality metrics, infection control, and patient outcomes
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflows
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of New York
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility (REQUIRED)
- Strong knowledge of SNF regulations, survey process, and compliance standards
- Proven leadership experience managing clinical teams
- Ability to drive accountability while maintaining a positive team culture
