Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) who is more than a manager — we are looking for a true leader.
This role is for someone who leads by example, builds up their team, holds high standards, and takes ownershipof the nursing department. The right candidate will create a culture of accountability, respect, and excellence while ensuring outstanding care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all nursing operations within the facility
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and company standards
- Maintain accurate, complete, and survey-ready documentation at all times
- Supervise, train, and mentor nursing staff (LPNs, CMAs, CNAs)
- Conduct audits on charts, physician orders, care plans, and assessments
- Ensure proper medication management and clinical oversight
- Lead by example in professionalism, accountability, and resident care
- Address performance issues promptly and appropriately
- Coordinate with administration on staffing, quality improvement, and operations
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license (state required)
- Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or memory care
- Prior leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of state regulations and survey process
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to hold staff accountable while maintaining a supportive culture
