A healthcare organization in the Glens Falls area is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations and lead a dedicated nursing team. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily nursing department operations
Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff and department managers
Ensure quality care standards are consistently maintained
Manage staffing coordination, scheduling oversight, and clinical support
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of nursing personnel
Monitor compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
Participate in quality improvement and operational initiatives
1 year of experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Address clinical concerns and support effective patient care delivery
Qualifications:
Active RN license in New York State
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting
Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
Strong clinical knowledge and organizational skills
Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
