Position Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and clinical oversight of nursing services within our skilled long-term care facility. This role works closely with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to create a safe, supportive, and resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Promote a culture of compassion, respect, and excellence in resident care.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee clinical programs, quality assurance initiatives, and infection prevention efforts.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and employee development.
- Monitor resident outcomes and implement strategies for continuous quality improvement.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Support residents and families through effective communication and compassionate service.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Previous leadership experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and survey readiness.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to resident-centered care and staff development.
- Director of Nursing experience preferred.
