Director of Nursing

We are currently accepting applications for a Director of Nursing within our long-term care and rehab facility specializing in geriatrics. Qualifications:

1. Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Alabama
2. Must be at least 18 years of age
3. Previous experience in a supervisory capacity
4. Long-Term Care / Nursing Home Experience highly preferred
5. Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care
6. Positive attitude toward the elderly

3. Works With the Administrator and Department Heads
4. Nursing Care Functions
5. Understand Residents' Rights
6. Ability to communicate with residents and personnel and ability to remain calm under stress.
7. Understand Care Plan and Assessment
8. Planning and Implementing Developmental Plans
