Position Summary Northwest University is seeking a mission-driven leader to expand our network of church and ministry partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the Church, deeply relational, and energized by connecting students to transformational educational opportunities. The Director will play a key role in advancing NU's mission by cultivating strategic partnerships, strengthening church engagement, and contributing to enrollment growth across multiple programs and delivery models-particularly within ministry contexts. The Director of Northwest Partnership Program (NPP) and Church Engagement is a full-time position that focuses on recruitment of prospective partners along with ongoing support for current partners. The Director is responsible for developing and leading strategies that expand partnerships as well as NPP enrollment along with retaining current partners. The Director develops systems to help partners expand and maintain programs through recruitment and retention activities. Additionally, the Director supports enrollment in all NU delivery models through cultivating church engagement activities and recruiting for the university at a variety of events. Essential Functions Partner Recruitment and Development. Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to recruit and onboard new NPP partners. Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with churches, denominational networks, and ministry organizations. Oversee the full partner lifecycle-including evaluation, recommendation, and approval-ensuring alignment with program standards and growth goals.

Design and implement proactive recruitment plans to expand partner pipelines. Collaborate with partners to co-create effective student recruitment strategies. Partner with NU's marketing team to develop and execute integrated campaigns (website, print, digital, social media, etc.). Analyze recruitment performance and continuously refine strategies to improve outcomes.

Partner Success and Program Support. Serve as the primary point of contact for all current partners, ensuring consistent engagement, satisfaction, and program effectiveness. Provide strategic and operational support to maximize partner success and student outcomes.

Maintain strong relationships through regular communication, site visits, and virtual meetings. Provide guidance and training on recruitment strategies, internship development, and academic program support. Lead ongoing partner evaluation processes to ensure quality and alignment. Plan and execute partner-facing initiatives, including an annual conference and ongoing webinars. Coordinate with internal teams to enhance student support services (admissions, advising, financial aid, registration). Manage and operate within the program budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.

University Recruitment and External Representation. Act as an ambassador for Northwest University, representing all programs and delivery models in key recruitment environments with a focus on ministry contexts.

Represent NU at conferences, graduate fairs, church events, and community gatherings. Build awareness and generate prospective student interest across all university programs. Prioritize engagement at Assemblies of God events and ministry-focused venues. Track and report on outreach effectiveness and lead generation.

Church and Network Engagement. Develop and implement strategies to deepen engagement with regional Assemblies of God networks, churches, and pastoral leaders to strengthen pipeline development and institutional visibility.

Build and sustain relationships with pastors, church leaders, and denominational stakeholders. Execute multi-channel engagement strategies (email campaigns, social media, in-person outreach, and on-campus events). Host individuals and groups on campus to foster connection and partnership. Identify opportunities to expand influence and strengthen the university's presence within ministry networks.

Education/Experience/Skills

Demonstrated experience serving in a church, ministry, or equivalent faith-based setting, with a strong understanding of pastoral leadership and church dynamics. Proven experience in higher education, preferably with nontraditional, adult, or distributed learning programs. Bachelor's degree required; master's degree strongly preferred. Strong public speaking skills with experience presenting to a variety of audiences. Track record of success in recruitment, partnership development, program management, or relationship-driven roles. Proven ability to facilitate engaging and results-driven events. Skilled collaborator with experience working across teams to achieve measurable goals and organizational outcomes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems and learning management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Moodle, or similar tools). Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with excellence. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging various audiences including pastors, students, and organizational leaders. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability, initiative, and grace under pressure. Demonstrate commitment to maintaining a safe work environment free of harassment, violence, and unlawful discrimination. Ability to communicate effectively, get along well with co-workers, and deal effectively and professionally with colleagues.

Working Environment

Work is generally performed indoors in a typical office setting. Some weekend/evening work required. Travel, including overnight travel, may be required. Position works with strictly confidential information. Frequently required to be in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.

Physical Demands The functions are usually performed while standing, but may involve some amount of time sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting (max. of 40 lbs.), walking, carrying, reaching, stretching, climbing, perform repetitive motions of the hands or wrists and other movements. The abilities of seeing, hearing and speaking are also required. Compensation Based on education and experience, the position has a hiring range of $28.50/hour to $29.99/hour plus excellent benefits.
