Church of the Crucifixion and St. Pius V,Jacksonville, FL Director of Music MinistryReports: Pastor Status: Part Time GENERAL SUMMARY The Catholic Parishes of the Church of the Crucifixion and St. Pius V in Jacksonville, Florida has an opening for the position of Director of Music Ministry. This employee will be responsible for the Music Ministry for both parishes. Also, must pass Safe Environment background screening, attend Protecting God’s Children, and be a practicing Catholic. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE
Weekend masses (2), Seasonal and special celebrations, Holy Week, Advent, and Holy Days of Obligation
-work with engaged couples in preparing wedding liturgies -work with bereaved in preparing funeral liturgies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, vendors, employees, and the public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
