Our school, founded in 1881 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, the Academy of the Holy Names is an independent, Catholic, coeducational elementary school and a college preparatory high school for young women.
Position Overview: The Director of Mission and Ministry serves as a member of the Academy of the Holy Names Leadership Team and is responsible for providing strategic, pastoral, and administrative leadership for the school’s Catholic identity, SNJM charism, and multi-divisional Campus Ministry program. Beyond overseeing programs and experiences, the Director is called to meaningfully inspire students and adults alike to encounter the love of God, grow in the Catholic faith, serve others in need, and live with greater purpose and fidelity to the Gospel and SNJM values.
In close collaboration with the president and divisional principals, the Director serves as the primary animator of mission programming across all aspects of Academy life. The Director ultimately helps cultivate a vibrant Catholic school community that honors and celebrates the beauty, truth, sacramental life, and social tradition of the Catholic Church and SNJM’s, while also embodying a spirit of hospitality, welcome, and respect to students and families of all faith traditions.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, theology, and/or pastoral studies
- Minimum 5-years’ experience in religious education, campus \ youth ministry, or lay ecclesial ministry
- Practicing Catholic, well-educated on the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Catholic Social Teaching
- Highly collaborative leadership style with exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Christian spirituality, theology, pastoral studies, ministry, education, or a related field.
- Catechetical certifications or related formation credentials.
- Experience with collaborative leadership across multiple departments
Core Responsibilities:
- Effectively leads and manages a campus ministry team of 4, executing and evaluating Catholic formation and campus ministry programming for all 3 divisions
- Advances the school’s Catholic Identity and SNJM Charism through adult formation and mission integration
- Ensures consistent, mission-aligned communication and representation of Catholic Identity and SNJM Values
- Promotes mission excellence through assessment, accountability, and collaborative partnerships
- Advances and supports HNEM sponsorship and SNJM network engagement
