Job Description:

Since 2010, our client has been delivering quality healthcare as part of the commonwealth's most comprehensive network. They offer a broad range of services, including a 24-hour emergency room, advanced operating rooms, cancer care, heart and vascular services, obstetrics, neonatal care, intensive care, and psychiatric care. As the Director of Medical-Surgical Services, you will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care by overseeing performance and results across multiple sites. You will foster a culture of accountability and collaboration, and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to support facility objectives. Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Compensation: $110K-$176K plus bonus incentive based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, No Weekends
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years’ Director experience in an acute care setting, Med-Surg preferred.
  • Will consider Nurse Managers with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care setting.
  • Active RN License or compact license required.

  • Cultivate a superior clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient
    safety and quality outcomes.
  • Manage clinical practice variations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
  • Ensure accountability and transparency in care provision.
  • Stay abreast of benchmarks, accreditations, and designations, actively pursuing efforts to achieve them.
  • Provide leadership in delivering an unparalleled patient experience, leveraging feedback
    mechanisms to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture that inspires commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams and physicians to enhance services or develop new
    offerings.
  • Participate in the annual budget process, monitor budget performance, and implement actions to
    address performance gaps.
 

Additional Information:

  • 36 beds with a 6:1 patient ratio.
  • Looking for a candidate with a good personality, team player, mentorship skills, and motivational
    leadership.
  • No job hoppers will be considered.
