The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading hospital in Helena, Montana to hire an experienced and strategic Director of Materials Management. This full-time leadership opportunity is ideal for a driven healthcare professional who is passionate about operational excellence, supply chain optimization, and building high-performing teams.

In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic direction for the Materials Management Department, overseeing procurement, inventory management, equipment distribution, and value analysis initiatives across the hospital and affiliated clinics. The Director plays a key role in overseeing regulatory compliance, budget management, and operational planning while serving as a resource and subject matter expert for materials management operations, initiatives and issues.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the procurement, standardization, and distribution of supplies and equipment across the organization
  • Oversee department budgeting, inventory management, operational planning, and performance initiatives
  • Drive Value Analysis and continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, federal, and state healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
  • Support HR functions including team leadership, staff development, coaching, and fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to inventory control, receiving, storage, and distribution operations
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives

 What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of leadership experience as a Materials Management Director within a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of acute care regulations and compliance standards
  • Professional certification in materials or supply chain management preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
