We are seeking a visionary, hands-on Director of Marketing to lead and evolve our marketing function into a strategic driver of growth. This role will shape a marketing-led vision that strengthens brand positioning, expands into new markets, and enhances client experience—while building and leading a high-performing team.
Partnering closely with the executive leadership team (ELT) as well as other business development, operations, and corporate services leaders, the Director of Marketing will bring a strong branding mindset, digital and social media expertise, and a passion for innovation, including leveraging AI and emerging technologies to modernize marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Team Development
Serve as a visionary leader for the Marketing function, establishing a clear strategy aligned with firmwide growth goals
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Identify emerging markets, client segments, and industry trends to drive growth and expansion
Build strong, service-oriented relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team, Market Leaders, and operational teams, positioning marketing as a trusted partner and resource
Brand, Digital & Market Presence
Lead the evolution of the firm’s brand positioning and messaging across all markets
Oversee digital strategy, including website, content, and social media, to enhance visibility, engagement, and brand positioning
Support thought leadership, conferences, and external engagement to elevate brand presence and reach new markets
Enhance the client experience and journey through strong marketing support and tools
Pursuits & Marketing Operations
Provide insight for go/no-go decisions and strategic planning
Guide the development of compelling pursuit strategies, win themes, and presentation materials
Ensure quality, differentiation, consistency, and alignment across qualifications, resumes, and project descriptions
Lead the development and continuous improvement of a centralized library of marketing materials, including resumes, project profiles, and past proposals
Support key proposals and interviews as needed
Partner with internal teams and Trilon partner firms to collaboratively develop pursuit strategies and responses for large, complex, and national opportunities
Technology, Innovation & AI
Champion the use of CRM platforms, marketing automation, and AI-driven tools to enhance quality and efficiency
Drive innovation in marketing processes, proposal development, and content creation through emerging technologies
Leverage AI, including large language models (LLMs) and emerging agentic tools, to transform marketing workflows, automate repeatable processes, and accelerate campaign development and optimization
Collaboration & Communication
Lead external communications and PR efforts
Partner closely with the ELT and other company leaders while maintaining accountability for marketing strategy and execution
Promote alignment across teams, offices, and service lines
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
10+ years of marketing experience, preferably within A/E/C or professional services with annual revenue in excess of $100m.
Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
Strong expertise in branding, digital marketing, and social media strategy
Experience with CRM systems (Deltek Vantagepoint preferred)
Expertise in applying AI tools (e.g., LLMs, generative AI) to improve marketing workflows, not just content generation
Demonstrated ability to adopt and operationalize emerging technologies in a fast-paced environment
Forward-thinking mindset with a passion for AI and marketing innovation
Exceptional communication, writing, and leadership skills
