Under the direction of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the director will provide vision, leadership, and overall management to the Learning Resources unit and the districts online learning initiatives. The Learning Resources unit comprises academic and support services, including library, distance education, testing, tutoring, and instructional design. The primary goal of Learning Resources is to promote increased student success by applying technology, training, and services that strengthen teaching and learning throughout the college.

Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or at a computer terminal or in meetings. Incumbents are subject to frequent contact in person and on the telephone with academic and classified staff, management personnel, students, and the public. The district provides an excellent benefits package for full-time employees. Part-time employees who work an average of 25 hours per week over the course of a year, may choose to receive benefits on a pro-rated basis.
