QUIET VILLAGE LANDSCAPING

Director of Landscape Services

Location: St. Louis, MO (In-person)

Position Type: Full-Time, Senior Leadership

Run It Like a Business. Grow It Like It Is Yours.

Quiet Village Landscaping is an established St. Louis landscape design, construction, maintenance, and estate-care company serving the region since 2001. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a senior operations leader who can take ownership of our landscape services division and build the people, systems, sales, and operational discipline required for its next stage of growth.

The Director of Landscape Services will have full leadership responsibility for the performance and growth of Quiet Village Landscaping's recurring service operations. This includes mowing, gardening, fertilization, irrigation, plant health, seasonal services, and related property-care offerings.

This is not simply a scheduling or field-supervision position. We are looking for a business-minded leader who can strengthen operations, develop managers, improve financial performance, retain clients, expand the service portfolio, and significantly grow department revenue. The right person will approach the division as though it were their own business while benefiting from the resources, reputation, client base, and support of an established company. This position combines office leadership with regular visits to customer properties, job sites, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the landscape services division.
  • Develop and execute a growth plan for recurring service revenue and departmental profitability.
  • Oversee service managers, account managers, crew leaders, technicians, and field teams.
  • Establish performance goals and accountability standards for sales, retention, labor efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate pricing, estimating, routing, production rates, staffing, equipment, and service delivery.
  • Drive business development through existing-account growth, referrals, partnerships, and new opportunities.
  • Build relationships with high-value residential and estate-care clients.
  • Improve processes for scheduling, dispatching, quality control, client communication, and invoicing.
  • Recruit, coach, retain, and develop high-performing managers and field leaders.
  • Analyze financial statements, budgets, job costing, labor reports, sales pipelines, and department KPIs.
  • Partner with company ownership and senior leadership on annual planning and major operational decisions.
  • Create scalable systems that support continued growth without sacrificing service quality.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, honest communication, continuous improvement, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in landscaping, lawn care, irrigation, horticulture, property services, facilities services, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing a service-based business unit, branch, department, or company.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and improve profitability.
  • Strong understanding of recurring-service operations, production planning, workforce management, and customer retention.
  • Experience managing managers as well as front-line field teams.
  • Strong business-development, client-relationship, and negotiation skills.
  • Financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, job costing, margins, and operational reporting.
  • Ability to create structure, establish accountability, and lead organizational change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with field-service, CRM, estimating, scheduling, or business-management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, horticulture, landscape management, operations, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • A history of running or successfully growing a landscape or service business is highly valued.

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 Employment
  • Pay: $120,000-$150,000 annually, depending on experience and demonstrated results
  • Eligible for an annual performance bonus based on departmental and individual performance.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off.
  • Retirement plan.
  • Pet insurance.
  • Company-provided technology and resources.
