Director of Influencer, Creator, and TikTok Shop Marketing

Built on a foundation of clean, efficacious, and highly disruptive skincare solutions, we have commanded the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) landscape. We recently crossed a massive milestone by launching nationwide in Target. As we scale our omnichannel presence, we are looking for a visionary, data-driven, and culturally native Director of Influencer, Creator, and TikTok Shop Marketing to lead our next phase of explosive growth.
Position Overview
As the Director of Influencer, Creator, and TikTok Shop Marketing, you will own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization of our creator ecosystem and social commerce initiatives. You will sit at the intersection of brand equity and performance marketing, bridging top-of-funnel brand awareness with bottom-of-funnel retail and DTC conversions.
This role requires a unique blend of creative intuition (knowing who and what moves culture) and deep analytical rigor (scaling a multi-million dollar TikTok Shop affiliate program and tracking ROI across wholesale partners). You will lead a high-performing team to drive customer acquisition for our DTC channel while building dedicated creator campaigns that velocity-map our inventory at Target.
Key Responsibilities
1. Omnichannel Creator & Influencer Strategy
- Strategic Roadmap: Design and execute a comprehensive, tiered influencer strategy (spanning mega, macro, micro, and nano creators) that supports both DTC growth and Target retail velocity.
- Target Retail Support: Build dedicated geographic and national creator campaigns designed specifically to drive foot traffic, store localization awareness, and sell-through at Target.
- Seeding & Gifting: Scale a massive, always-on organic product seeding engine optimized for high-volume UGC generation, positive sentiment, and community building.
- Negotiations & Contracting: Oversee high-level talent negotiations, long-term brand ambassador partnerships, and legally compliant talent agreements that secure optimal usage rights for paid media amplification.
2. TikTok Shop & Social Commerce Dominance
- TikTok Shop Strategy: Own the P&L, commercial strategy, and operational execution for TikTok Shop (Product Card, Live Shopping, and Creator Affiliate Plan).
- Affiliate Scaling: Build, manage, and aggressively scale a massive network of TikTok Shop affiliate creators, utilizing automated outreach, commission optimization, and custom sample distribution.
- Live Shopping Execution: Conceptualize and oversee a weekly live streaming schedule, managing external agencies, internal hosts, product mapping, and exclusive flash promotions.
- Operational Sync: Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure seamless inventory forecasting specifically mapped to viral TikTok trends and promotional calendar spikes.
3. Content Performance & Paid Media Amplification
- UGC Pipeline: Direct the continuous production of high-converting, entertainment-first creator content optimized for organic virality and paid media Whitelisting/Spark Ads.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Performance Marketing team to instantly identify winning organic creator content and convert it into high-performing paid assets.
4. Team Leadership & Budget Management
- Team Growth: Recruit, mentor, and elevate a dedicated, agile internal team of managers and coordinators, while managing specialized external agency partners.
- Fiscal Accountability: Own the multi-million dollar influencer and social commerce budget, ensuring strict allocation efficiency and clear mapping to business KPIs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 7–10+ years of beauty marketing experience, with a minimum of 4 years specifically leading influencer marketing or social commerce at a consumer goods brand doing $50M+. Skincare experience is highly preferred.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success building and scaling a highly profitable TikTok Shop framework (Affiliate & Live) from the ground up.
- Retail Savvy: Proven experience building influencer campaigns that directly move the needle for mass or prestige retail partners (experience supporting Target or Sephora/Ulta launches is a massive plus).
- Data-Obsessed: Expert fluency in creator tracking platforms (e.g., CreatorIQ, Grin, Tribe Dynamics) and TikTok Shop analytics backends. You look at data daily to shift budgets toward high-ROI strategies.
- Cultural Fluency: Deeply entrenched in internet culture, trends, and aesthetics. You know what makes a video viral before it hits the mainstream algorithm.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area to lead our hybrid team environment.
