Position Summary
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with FLC's operational objectives and growth plans. This position will lead HR initiatives across multiple locations, support field and corporate personnel, and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, union, and industry-specific employment requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support company growth and operational objectives.
• Lead workforce planning initiatives.
• Develop succession planning and leadership development programs.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development
• Oversee recruiting and hiring activities.
• Build relationships with union halls, trade schools, and workforce organizations.
• Manage onboarding and training initiatives.
Employee Relations
• Promote a positive, accountable culture.
• Conduct investigations and provide guidance on employee relations matters.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and labor agreements.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
Compensation & Benefits
• Administer compensation, benefits, and performance review programs.
HR Operations
• Oversee HR systems, records, reporting, workers' compensation, and workforce analytics.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead and develop HR team members and support organizational growth.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience.
• 3+ years of HR leadership experience.
Preferred:
• Utility construction industry experience.
• Union workforce experience.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
