RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer to develop and execute effective human resource strategies. • Administers HR policies and procedures researches and drafts new HR policies that reflect current regulatory requirements and provides interpretation and coaching regarding policies and procedures. • Develops and monitors bi-annual HR budget. • Plans develops manages and promotes company-sponsored events. • Develops employee communications regarding HR policies programs and initiatives to promote team member engagement and effective employee relations. • At the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer provides HR briefings to Greenville Waters Commission. • Must have skills to successfully administer and improve the Companys compensation program. • Conducts and documents employee investigations as needed. • Represents Greenville Water interests during Unemployment Workers Compensation and EEO Hearings and Appeals. • Oversees the hiring process including authorization paperwork ad placement applicant screening interviewing and testing. • Must have significant skills in conducting and teaching others to perform effective employment interviews. • Stays up to date regarding all job descriptions. • Reviews and edits to be pertinent and current per the duties performed. • Manages the Companys insurance benefits. • Brings new ideas and benefit structure to GW on a continual basis. • Works with the insurance broker to achieve cost-effective and competitive employee benefit plans. • Manages the annual benefits renewal process including plan design redesign and premium rate setting. • Facilitates resolution of employee benefit-related concerns billing errors etc. • Stays abreast of the laws both State and Federal benefits regulations. • Manages the design redesign scheduling delivery and/or implementation of Greenville Waters Leadership and Supervisory training. • Oversees and provides organizational development services such as team building conflict resolution facilitation coaching succession planning strategic planning and change management. • Reports on Safety to include but not limited to Workers Compensation and OSHA reporting. • Supervises the HR & Payroll Manager in all tasks related to payroll benefits and HR administration. • Supervises the Safety Manager in all tasks related to Employee Health and Safety. • Oversees and supports the design development and implementation of training and development programs to address current and future training needs. • Creates and suggests enhancements to GWs programs and procedures. • Keeps current with all South Carolina rules and regulations of the South Carolina Retirement System programs pension 401k and 457b. • Maintains a variety of statistics reports records and spreadsheet information as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelors Degree in human resources or related field supplemented by at least seven (7) to ten (10) years of Human Resources Management experience including at least five (5) years of which were in a supervisory or management capacity is required or possession of any equivalent combination of education training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this job.

Prefer a SHRM CP or SHRM SCP certification as well as a valid South Carolina drivers license with a good driving record.
