SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Director of Gaming Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Slot and Table Games Department. The Director of Gaming Operations will develop and manage both departments' budget processes and work with property leadership to build an overall strategic plan for gaming operations. The Director of Gaming Operations service and work product substantially impact CNE's operations, management, and success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and directs all Slot and Table game operations. Analyzes Slot and Table games performance.
- Directly supervises managers within the Slots and Table Games Departments. This includes but is not limited to training, coaching, reinforcing, and developing performance plans.
- Develop, implement, review, and analyze all gaming-related policies and procedures following all applicable regulations and internal casino asset protection requirements.
- Manages and controls the Gaming budgets. Acts are necessary to achieve a profit or manage operations within budgetary requirements.
- Keep current with new games, equipment, and procedures to enhance the operation.
- Communicates and maintains performance standards for customer interaction and manages staff to anticipate, reduce, or eliminate customer complaints.
- Proactively identifies and troubleshoots slot performance problems to ensure the operational effectiveness of the property, maximize profitability, ensure proper controls throughout the company, and take corrective action when needed.
- Counsels, guides, and instructs direct reports in adequately performing their duties for all areas of responsibility.
- Must fully support the guest service program and set the example for the CNE team.
- Must perform excellent guest service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by CEO.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the direct supervision of the Slot and Table Games Managers.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Director of Gaming Operations regularly communicates and exchanges information with others, operates a computer and other office equipment, and travels between and moves about the properties. A majority of the work is performed at the facilities in an office setting but work is often performed in a smoke-filled environment with varying noise levels depending upon location, time of day, and the amount of business. The Director of Gaming Operations must be willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required. Must be willing and able to work evening, weekends, and holidays.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area.
- Working knowledge of gaming-related data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
- Strong knowledge and implementation of all Gaming regulations.
- Must possess extensive analytical skills and magerial skills.
- Proficient in all systems associated with operating gaming operations required.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills, organization and leadership abilities, decision-making and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
PREFERRED EDCUATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Ten (10) years of experience as head of Gaming Operation Department; and
- Fifteen (15) years in a gaming leadership role.
- Master's in Business Administration.
