Job Description

The Director of Football Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the football program, including managing the coaching staff, coordinating team travel, and ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations. This is a key leadership role within the athletic department, working closely with the Head Coach and Athletic Director to drive the success of the football program.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the football coaching staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating coaches
  • Coordinate all team travel logistics, including transportation, lodging, and meals
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the football program and other departments (e.g., compliance, sports medicine, strength and conditioning)
  • Ensure adherence to NCAA rules and regulations, including monitoring player eligibility and recruiting activities
  • Oversee the football program's budget, including managing expenses and seeking additional funding sources
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director on strategic planning and decision-making for the football program
  • Represent the football program at various events and meetings, both on and off campus

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with a master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in college football operations or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively with coaches, student-athletes, and other stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using relevant software and technology tools
