Related work experience or comparable combination of education/experience may be substituted for Financial Aid Office experience. Knowledge of: current and future regulations, guidelines and trends in federal and state financial aid; fundamental accounting and fiscal reporting procedures; database, spreadsheet, word processing, presentation software as well as computer hardware. Must possess: strong organization, supervisory, and managerial skills; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to interrelate effectively with students, parents and peers. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Provide effective, responsive management; provide proper administration of all financial aid programs; retain a staff" that is well-trained, competent and productive; maintain compliance with all regulatory mandates; provide prompt, efficient counseling services; obtain an adequate level of federal funding to meet the needs of the majority of the student population; obtain sufficient private scholarship funds to assist students to meet educational expenses; award funds equitably to all eligible students; provide timely delivery of Title IV Funds; decrease the institutional default rate; increase the awareness of the financial aid process to faculty/staff and students.
