We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Finance to lead the company’s financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and operational finance functions. This role is responsible for providing financial leadership, supporting executive decision-making, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring the organization maintains strong financial controls and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, business-minded, and capable of translating financial data into actionable insights that support company growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.

  • Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and KPI dashboards to support strategic decision-making.

  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.

  • Partner with department leaders on budgeting, spend management, and financial accountability.

Financial Reporting Accounting Oversight

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

  • Maintain effective internal controls, accounting procedures, and reporting standards.

Cash Flow Treasury Management

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and cash forecasting.

  • Oversee banking relationships, financing activities, and capital allocation strategies.

  • Ensure adequate financial resources to support operational and growth objectives.

Business Operations Strategic Finance

  • Partner with leadership to evaluate growth opportunities, investments, and strategic initiatives.

  • Analyze profitability, pricing, and operational performance to identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost optimization.

  • Support fundraising, acquisitions, and other corporate finance initiatives as needed.

Compliance, Risk Management Controls

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and reporting obligations.

  • Oversee audits, financial policies, internal controls, and risk management practices.

  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Leadership Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting team members.

  • Build scalable financial processes and systems to support company growth.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and financial accountability across the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial planning, or related functions.

  • 3+ years of experience in a finance leadership or management role.

  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, excel, financial modeling, and financial management systems.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

  • Experience overseeing accounting operations and financial controls.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.

  • Strong technology aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and implement new financial systems, tools, and automation platforms.

  • Experience supporting high-growth organizations or scaling finance operations.

  • Strong business partnering and executive communication skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and financial reporting platforms.

  • Knowledge of fundraising, debt financing, or investor reporting processes.

  • Experience improving financial systems, automation, and operational workflows.
