Position: Director of Finance Operations

• De La Salle High School of New Orleans is seeking a trained and qualified financial
professional responsible for overseeing the school's business office, managing accounting
operations, financial reporting, and compliance with regulations.

• This is a full-time, in-person position with benefits. This role provides oversight to the
positions of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and reports to the President of the school.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (based upon qualifications and experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Directing the business office, including managing payroll, accounts
payable/receivable positions, and general ledger functions, including management and oversight of
all external accounts.

Budget: Annual preparation of in-house line item annual budget and District template budget,
capital budget.

Reporting: Preparing, analyzing, and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
reports inclusive of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Budget to Actuals, Budget Forecast, and Cash
Flow Projection.

Audit: Annual audit lead in preparing for and supporting auditors selected by Board of
Trustees.

Internal Controls: Establishing and maintaining systems to protect the integrity of financial
data and assets.

Compliance: Ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, tax laws, and government regulations.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is
required, or a master's degree (MBA).
Certification: A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Global Management Accountant
(CGMA) designation is highly valued.
Experience: Generally requires five or more years of experience in accounting or financial
management, with experience in a supervisory capacity.


Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting software, advanced QuickBooks and Excel skills, and a deep
understanding of financial governance and reporting.
