Director of Finance (Hands-On, Strategic Operator)

What You’ll Actually Be Doing
You’ll serve as a financial leader for multiple growing businesses, acting as a true partner to the owner—not just an advisor from a distance.
- Work directly with business owners to understand how their business really operates
- Turn financials into clear, actionable insights (not just reports)
- Own cash flow, forecasting, and profitability strategy
- Build and refine KPIs that actually drive behavior and results
- Help clients make decisions around hiring, pricing, expansion, and investment Identify problems early—and help fix them (not just point them out)
- Lead client meetings and be a trusted voice in the room
- Collaborate with our internal team to ensure execution matches strategy

What You Bring
- Strong financial foundation (accounting, FP&A, or similar background)
- Experience with financial statements, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Ability to connect numbers to real-world business decisions
- Comfort working across multiple clients or projects
- Experience with tools like QuickBooks Online and Excel Strong communication skills—you can lead a room, not just analyze data
