The Director of Finance reports directly to the President and provides strategic guidance and leadership as a member of the leadership team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversight of accounting, finance, estimating, and information systems team
  • Responsible for business unit accounting including payroll, AP, AR, customer credit, treasury, fixed assets, over-time contract revenue accounting, inventory, local tax, and contract estimations
  • Provide oversight and strategic direction for management of business unit ERP system and support other applications
  • Lead financial forecast, budgeting, and reporting processes
  • Work with BU leadership team to set financial targets and guide business to meet them
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis supporting strategic business decisions
  • Ensure the Business unit has the organization, processes, and systems to support current and expected future government contract accounting obligations including approve accounting and property management systems
  • Create and maintain forward cost rates in support of government contract estimation
  • Responsible for submitting annual cost submissions to US Government
  • Assure effective Sarbanes Oxley financial controls in the Business unit including the implementation of Corporate policies and operation of effective management records

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred
  • Experience in finance leadership, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, P&L, cash flow management, financial modeling, analytics, KPI development, ERP, cost accounting, and strategic planning.
  • Proven ability in building high-performance financial teams, drive cross-functional finance initiatives, and influence executive decision-making.
  • Hands-on expertise in manufacturing finance, operational finance, product portfolio analytics, ERP systems, and advanced Excel/Power BI analytics.
