The Position

  • The Director of Finance/Controller serves as a key financial leader responsible for the strategic oversight of accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and internal controls.
  • Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role ensures financial integrity while providing meaningful insights that support organizational growth and long-term financial stability.
  • This leader will play a pivotal role in modernizing the finance function by enhancing financial analytics, strengthening forecasting capabilities, and implementing data-driven decision support. The organization is seeking a leader who can move beyond traditional accounting practices to provide strategic analysis that helps explain financial performance and guides executive decision-making.
  • Lead and develop a collaborative, high-performing accounting team by fostering professional growth, mentoring staff, and creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. This highly visible leader will partner closely with operational departments and executive leadership to strengthen cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
  • Serve as the finance lead for a major enterprise resource planning (ERP) transition, partnering with organizational leaders to successfully implement a new financial system while improving budgeting processes, streamlining workflows, and positioning the finance department for future growth and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Revenue Cycle leadership, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective budget management, and alignment between operational performance and the organization's strategic priorities. While Revenue Cycle is led separately, this role is expected to build a strong partnership that supports the organization's overall financial success.
  • This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on healthcare finance leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, developing people, and driving meaningful organizational change. With a respected long-tenured leader preparing for retirement, the organization is seeking someone who can build upon a strong financial foundation while growing into a long-term executive finance leadership opportunity with future CFO potential.
