Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is currently searching for a Director of Asset-Level Financing within its Treasury. The Director will be a key part of a team that is responsible for the structuring, execution and management of tax equity and finace transaction for NextEra Energy markets including, but not limited to, renewables and storage, gas plants, transmission, pipelines, and residential solar. Responsibilities include financial analysis, financial modeling, managing due diligence and negotiating financing documents. The position will work with cross-functional teams throughout the company and third-party investors including commercial banks, institutional investors, and asset managers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute financing strategy, including direct interaction with external lenders and investors
  • Prepare transaction models and financial analysis (including historical vs. projected performance) that support selection of optimal financing path
  • Create presentations to support internal approvals and funding execution that effectively summarizes proposed transaction and key considerations
  • Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and timely execution
  • Develops, coaches and mentors team members

Leaders in this role are responsible for capital raising through the bank loan and institutional markets to fund the development and operations of company projects. In addition, this individual will identify and conduct analyses of financial impacts of various project and financing-specific considerations and propose strategies to mitigate risk and ensure successful transaction execution.

Job Overview

Leaders in this role are responsible for financing of company projects through capital markets, banking, and private placement markets. Oversees a team that identifies and conducts complex analyses of financial impacts of issues and/or decisions facing the company and proposes strategies to maximize financial performance of company.

  • Oversees and directs contract program objectives and utilization of funds

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience: 10+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 5+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors - Accounting / Finance
  • Masters Degree
