Position Summary

The School of Education invites applications for a full-time Director of Field Placement to begin July/August 2026. We seek a dynamic individual to serve as the University's primary point of contact for all teacher certification program activities that require a supervised field experience. The Director works to ensure that placements are in compliance with state regulations and program requirements. This role involves performing all of the duties of the field placement office and acts as a clearinghouse for information on field placement processes for students and faculty.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and oversee all functions related to the field placement of students for both practicum and student teaching.
• Supervision and Training of Field Supervisors
• Program and Information Management for all Areas of Field Placement
• Organize Orientations and Plan Meetings and Events for Student Teachers
• Foster academic excellence in the classroom

Required Qualifications:

• Masters in Education or a related field.
• Five (5) or more years in higher education or K-12 administration.
• Five (5) or more years as a classroom teacher.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Social Teaching

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years experience in field placement, either on the higher education or placement side
• PDE State Teacher Certification
• Proficiency with instructional technology
• History of participating in LEA/IHE partnerships

• Any other information that may be useful to the search committee (ex. familiarity with instructional technology, experience supervising education students in field placements, highlights of relevant career accomplishments, community partnerships created or took part in, grants written or received, etc).
• A curriculum vitae that includes a list of college courses previously taught, indicating the format in which each were taught (face-to-face, synchronous online, asynchronous online, and/or blended/hybrid).
• Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts
• Three letters of recommendation
