This role delivers signature ready, actionable recommendations that help business leaders adjust policies, projects, and investments to achieve target business outcomes. The director oversees all architecture domains and governs the processes, standards, and frameworks that drive organizational transformation.

• Own and advance the enterprise architecture strategy, delivering actionable, executive-ready recommendations that align legacy systems, emerging technologies, and business priorities into a clear modernization roadmap.
• Deliver signature ready, actionable recommendations to business and IT leaders by analyzing disruptive forces, evaluating technology impacts, and shaping policies, investments, and projects that support target business outcomes
•  Translate business strategy into future state capabilities and technology direction, ensuring the organization selects the right programs, projects, and emerging technologies to achieve long term business goals.
•  Define, govern, and communicate enterprise architecture processes and standards, including oversight of the EA review process (ARB), integration of EA governance with business/IT workflows, and continuous refinement of architecture frameworks across the organization.

BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS…

• Executive-level leadership of enterprise architecture programs in complex environments, paired with hands-on technical depth across network and cloud infrastructure to confidently engage at both strategic and architectural levels.

• Open-minded, forward-thinking leader with the ability to influence and negotiate across competing agendas, manage positive conflict, and collaboratively shape a shared vision across diverse teams.

• Expertise in technical architecture, solution architecture, network management, application development, middleware design, information analysis, data architecture or operations management in a heterogeneous environment — or experience in solution architecture, business analysis or business strategic planning. Previous experience as a successful enterprise architect is desirable.

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis, or related field of study.

• Reside in San Antonio, Texas or willing to relocate.
