About Golden Lighting

Golden Lighting is a premier name in the residential design industry, recognized nationally for delivering "Expert Lighting Designs for Every Space." We combine the massive market reach of an established industry leader with the high-velocity agility and culture of a tight-knit, 30-person private enterprise. We are profitable, growing, and obsessed with quality—not just in our products, but in the sophisticated systems that power our operations.

The Executive Opportunity: Build. Scale. Own.

We are seeking an Ecommerce Director to join our leadership team as a core architect of our next phase of expansion. This is not a "maintenance" role. We are currently upgrading our entire digital stack to support three distinct brands: our luxury line Ziva, our accessible flagship Golden, and our innovative, customizable brand YEP.

We are looking for a leader who views this role as a "startup" opportunity within a stable, successful company. There are no limits on growth here; you will have the autonomy to rewrite the playbook for our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels and our massive e-retail partnerships.

Who You Are

  • A Strategic Architect: You don't just follow legacy processes; you build, break, and optimize new ones to scale a business into the tens of millions.
  • A Growth Catalyst: You thrive in an environment where autonomy is the norm and you are empowered to make decisions across SEO, performance marketing, and partner negotiations.
  • A Digital Builder: You are looking for a long-term tenure where you can see the direct ROI of your leadership on the company’s P&L and bottom line.
  • A Multichannel Expert: You understand how to balance the unique demands of a luxury brand with the high-volume requirements of big-box partners like Wayfair, Home Depot, and Amazon.

Requirements

Role Overview We are looking for a high-impact Ecommerce Director to take full ownership of our digital revenue channels and brand visibility. This role covers the entire digital spectrum: our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) websites, 3rd Party Marketplaces (Amazon/Walmart), and Strategic E-Retail Partners (Wayfair, Home Depot, Lamps Plus).

This is a high-growth position for a leader who is both a Sales Strategist and a Digital Marketer. You will not just "manage accounts"; you will aggressively drive sales through advanced SEO, data-driven marketing, and relationship management. You will own the P&L for these channels and lead the strategy to significantly scale revenue through organic and paid growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. DTC & Marketplace SEO Strategy

  • Search Authority: Lead the end-to-end SEO strategy for our DTC sites to increase organic traffic, focusing on technical SEO, content authority, and keyword ranking.
  • Listing Optimization: Execute advanced "Retail SEO" by optimizing product titles, descriptions, and A+ content for Amazon, Walmart, and Wayfair to maximize organic "share of shelf".
  • PIM Alignment: Collaborate with the PIM team to ensure all product data, copy, and photography are optimized for both search crawlers and conversion.

2. Performance Marketing & Digital Growth

  • Full-Funnel Strategy: Own the digital marketing budget and strategy, including SEM/PPC, Social Media advertising, and Email Marketing to drive high-intent traffic.
  • Retail Media Leadership: Manage strategy and budgets for retailer-specific advertising platforms (e.g., Wayfair Sponsored Products, Home Depot Retail Media, Amazon PPC).
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Utilize UI/UX best practices and A/B testing to lead strategies that increase Conversion Rate (CR) and Average Order Value (AOV) across all platforms.

3. Strategic Account & Partner Management

  • Relationship Growth: Serve as the primary point of contact for buyers at key partners (Wayfair, Home Depot, etc.) to negotiate program participation and assortment expansion.
  • Unified Promotions: Create a master promotional calendar that aligns DTC marketing efforts with retailer-specific events like Wayfair’s Way Day or Home Depot’s Special Buys.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SEO Mastery: Proven experience with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console) and a deep understanding of how search algorithms impact ecommerce.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial literacy is non-negotiable; ability to manage P&Ls, calculate Contribution Margin, and optimize marketing spend for ROAS.
  • Technical Stack:
    • E-Com Platforms: Advanced proficiency with Shopify Plus, Amazon Seller Central, and Retailer Portals.
    • Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with how ERP (NetSuite) and PIM systems feed into ecommerce storefronts.
    • Analytics: Expert in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Professional Experience

  • Experience: 7+ years in Ecommerce leadership with a specific track record of managing Amazon and major big-box e-retailers.
  • Marketing Pedigree: Demonstrated success in building and scaling DTC brands through a mix of organic search and paid digital media.
  • Growth Track Record: Ability to demonstrate how you built high-volume sales through integrated sales and marketing strategies.
