JOB SUMMARY
The SVP, Director of Deposit Product Management & Governance is an executive leadership role responsible for first-line accountability for the governance, correctness, and lifecycle management of BankUnited's deposit products including the underlying customer and account data that supports them. This role ensures that deposit products and associated Customer Information File (CIF) data are designed, structured, documented, implemented, and maintained in alignment with regulatory requirements, risk standards, and enterprise objectives.
Operating in support of the Lines of Business, this role establishes and enforces consistent standards across the deposit product lifecycle and CIF data governance, improving data integrity, transparency, scalability, and control effectiveness across the Bank's deposit portfolio.
This role operates within the Bank's New, Modified, or Expanded Products and Services (NMEPS) Policy and Program, ensuring all deposit product initiatives adhere to established governance, risk assessment, and approval processes. It does not replace the NMEPS framework but ensures consistent execution and lifecycle management within it.
This role does not determine which products Lines of Business offer, nor does it own pricing, P&L, or customer acquisition strategies, and it does not replace Technology, Risk, Compliance, or Legal. Instead, it provides first-line executive accountability to ensure deposit products are governed and managed consistently across the enterprise.
