POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Data and Reporting is a critical leadership role responsible for the integrity
and strategic use of district-wide data. This individual will oversee all state and federal
reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy. Beyond that, this role serves as a vital
service hub for the district, providing technical support and analytical expertise to meet the
diverse data needs of central oUice departments and individual school sites. Ultimately,
this role ensures that the district leverages data as an asset to improve student outcomes
and organizational eUiciency.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Data and Reporting will lead a team of data analysts to perform the
following core functions and other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Team Leadership & Development
? Supervise and develop data team personnel, establishing high standards for data
practice and professionalism
? Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture rooted in transparency,
continuous improvement, and a shared commitment to data accuracy and service
excellence.
? Mentor and provide professional development opportunities for data analysts,
ensuring the team remains proficient in emerging technologies and evolving state
and federal reporting requirements.

Data Stewardship & Governance
? Establish and enforce district-wide data standards to ensure information is
accurate, consistent, complete, and secure across all platforms.
? Improve the data collection, cleaning, and storage pipeline to strengthen data
integration and interoperability for meeting educators' data needs.
? Manage and monitor data permissions, access, and usage.
? Provide district-wide oversight and guidance on proper use of data
Data Reporting
? Serve as the primary lead for all state and federal data reporting, including all
reporting cycles through the Indiana Data Exchange (DEX) and annual Civil Rights
Data Collection to the US Department of Education.
? Collaborate with central oUice departments and schools to provide customized
data reports that support instructional and operational decisions.
? Manage and respond to internal and external data requests.
Data Solutions & Strategy
? Design and maintain interactive dashboards to monitor performance, identify
trends, spot anomalies, and understand actionable insights.
? Partner with district leadership to identify organizational deficiencies and build data
solutions to streamline processes, reduce errors, improve eUiciency, and
strengthen communications.
? Develop and implement strategies to promote data-driven decision-making, moving
the organization from reactive reporting to proactive, evidence-based instructional
and operational planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related fields
? Extensive experience in data management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or
project management capacity.
? Proven track record with Indiana state reporting and the Data Exchange (DEX)
platform.
? Demonstrated mastery of FERPA and HIPAA regulations with a proven track record
of maintaining data privacy and institutional compliance in the K-12 setting.
? Expert-level proficiency in PowerSchool products, including PowerSchool SIS,
SchoolMessenger, Ecollect Forms, PowerEnrollment, and ParentPortal.

? Demonstrated experience in using Tableau to design and deploy complex
workbooks and automated dashboards.
? Strong proficiency in SQL and R coding for data pulling, cleaning, transformation,
and engineering.
? Demonstrated experience of using Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps and
PowerAutomate) to develop custom applications and automated workflows for data
projects.
? Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

? The person in this position needs to be able to move about inside school buildings
to visit classrooms and attend meetings outside of his or her oUice
? The person in this position must be able to transport himself or herself to all school
locations within the district.
? The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of
the time
? The person in this position must be able to operate a computer and other oUice
productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and computer printer
? The person in this position must be able to converse with administrators, teachers,
families and community members and must be able to exchange accurate
information with such individuals
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 25 lbs., sit, stand, walk, speak, hear and use
close vision.
