DIRECTOR OF CTA, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR
The Milwaukee Rescue Mission Cross Trainers Academy (CTA) is a K4-12th grade Christian Academy in the heart of Milwaukee, serving students and families who are searching for a strong academic learning experience in a gospel-centered environment. As a Choice School, CTA is committed to offering a comprehensive, student-centered educational experience that serves the whole student. Our express purpose is to provide at-risk children with the opportunity for an excellent, Christian-based education that will equip them with academic, social, emotional, and spiritual tools for life.
The Milwaukee Rescue Mission is seeking a Director of CTA, School Administrator to oversee the CTA Elementary and Middle/High School Principals and staff to provide strong leadership for all school programs, grades K4-12th. This position also oversees and provides leadership to the Parent and Family Engagement and Youth Programming staff to serve students and CTA families. CTA responsibilities include monitoring student progress and measuring achievement; promoting academic excellence; career development and vocational ed.; mentoring leaders; determining curriculum; developing technology, promoting and protecting MRM and school culture; overseeing and maintaining discipline; and working with the North Campus Pastor to provide strong, Gospel-centered leadership and spiritual formation for the entire school community. Parent and Family Engagement and Youth Programming responsibilities include overseeing the development and execution of increased services, resources, and programming to our CTA students and families.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific areas of responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Provide Overall Leadership
Provide positive encouragement and spiritual leadership for school community
Ensure that CTA leadership is properly qualified and resourced to effectively lead and mentor staff
Be a daily presence throughout the school to maintain effective oversight of all programs and activities
Lead annual school re-accreditation process through WRISA
Assist with completion and submission of reports to WI DPI for annual audits
Facilitate North Campus Logistics meetings and maintenance of North Campus calendar with facilities, IT, food service, security, and CTA
Lead Faculty & Staff
Develop strategic framework and provide clear program goals and objectives
Inspire leaders and faculty to embrace goals and objectives for the benefit of CTA students, families and community
Mentor leaders and ensure they are properly resourced to effectively mentor and develop staff
Oversee annual assessment of faculty to promote a culture of excellence
Active involvement with hiring process (application review, interviewing, offers, etc.)
Assist leaders with personnel issues and collaborate with HR as appropriate
Maintain Academic Excellence
Regularly monitor academic progress, improving measurement tools and establishing appropriate benchmarks to ensure desired outcomes are achieved
Continuously work to elevate school resources, curricula and methods, in an effort to improve outcomes
Inspire a culture of excellence and ensure accountability for all faculty and staff
Oversee summer school
Be an inspirational presence for all students to develop a strong work ethic
Pray regularly and diligently for wisdom and guidance, and for CTA faculty and students
Lead Comprehensive Career Development and Vocational Education Plan
Develop and provide age-appropriate career exploration options from early childhood through high school graduation
Prioritize programs that can lead directly to employment with living wages, typically requiring two years or less of additional training after high school
Facilitate partnerships with major regional employers that can provide internship, mentorship, and direct hiring opportunities
Serve as Primary Coordinator for all Aspects of Spiritual Formation for the School Community
Develop opportunities to enhance the worship, discipleship and a sense of community in which students can develop a deep and personal relationship with Jesus
Design and implement a structured Church Connection Initiative to encourage support and regular church attendance among students, with a particular focus on those from unchurched or non-attending families
Oversee the school chapel program including the coordination of the chapel calendar, selection of speakers and order of service
Ensure Student Progress and Success
Work diligently to develop and promote programs that accommodate the broad needs of students, and build on their unique strengths, skills and abilities
Develop wrap around, school-to-work programs that prepare students who choose not to pursue college education immediately following high school
Direct staff in the development and expansion of extracurricular CTA student programs, such as clubs, athletics, and student government
Maintain Discipline
Ensure appropriate discipline procedures are enforced for both students and staff
Clearly and regularly communicate behavior expectations for the entire school community
Support Principals and Deans in attending to disciplinary issues with firmness and consistency, instilling biblical wisdom
Lead staff in creating a culture with high standards of conduct
Promote and Protect Culture
Consciously and deliberately promote a Christ-centered culture
Require leaders and staff to maintain fidelity to MRM doctrinal, ethical and moral standards
Ensure that curricula and teaching is consistent with the Gospel of Christ
Enthusiastically promote authentic Christian faith and a vibrant Christian walk with staff, students and families
Budget
Develop annual budget for North Campus in collaboration with the Finance Department
Work with the Finance Department to assign employee salaries/hourly pay rates, salary increases, and hiring levels
Monitor CTA/Equip payroll processes
Review and approve all purchase orders and vendor invoices
Adhere to accurate accounting practices regarding credit card use, staff reimbursements and reporting and assign appropriate budget codes for all expenditures
Provide input and prioritization of North Campus capital projects
Participate in short-term and long-term budget planning, including CTA enrollment projections and predicted program expenditures
Student/Staff Safety
Co-develop emergency/crisis plans for the building and staff/students
Along with Safety Manager, execute and oversee monthly drills (fire, tornado, evacuation, hold, lockdown)
Provide direction for coordinating transportation efforts with bus company
Assign staff to attend to safety and discipline issues on school buses
Youth Programming and Parent and Family Engagement
Provide direct leadership and oversight to the Assistant Director of Youth Programming and the Parent and Family Engagement Supervisor
Oversee the development and execution of services, resources and programming for our CTA students and families
Provide leadership and direction for staff teams in CTA Parent and Family Engagement and Youth Programming
Oversee youth programming staff in after-school and summer school programs
Oversee collaboration with community partners
Collaborate with the main campus on seasonal distributions (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc).
Partner in Broader Ministry of MRM
Partner with MRM leadership staff in supporting and promoting all MRM programs
Be well-informed of MRM programs on both campuses and seek ways to promote and encourage those programs
Support efforts to promote our programs for the sake of communicating our progress effectively to donors and community leaders
Participate in/lead tours of the North Campus with donors, vendors, VIP's and public officials
Accept and assign volunteers to programs and events
