Georgetown College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, 12-month position as the Director of Counseling Education to develop new graduate Master's programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Addiction Counseling, and School Counseling. We expect to begin enrolling students in this new program beginning in Fall 2026.

Responsibilities include CACREP-aligned curriculum design, accreditation leadership, faculty recruitment, practicum/internship partnership development, and graduate teaching.

This position reports to the Provost and includes administrative and instructional duties. Georgetown College is a private, Christian, liberal arts institution and emphasis is placed on teaching excellence in a diverse context. It is located in the small college town of Georgetown, Kentucky, just 12 miles north of Lexington.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must have experience in teaching graduate students and be able to demonstrate their commitment and excellence in teaching as well as demonstrate a commitment to culturally responsive counseling education.
  • Applicants must hold a Doctorate in Counselor Education or related field; LPC (or eligibility); experience in CACREP-aligned programs. All requirements for degree conferral must be completed prior to start of employment.
  • Accreditation leadership and program development experience is preferred.
