The Director of Corporate Quality is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) across all business functions, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service, repair, and administrative operations. This executive-level leader drives a culture of quality, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

The Director of Corporate Quality is accountable for ensuring product quality from incoming materials through final shipment, as well as overseeing field returns, failure analysis, corrective actions, repair operations, and ongoing process improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to reduce defects, eliminate waste, improve efficiency and drive profitability to the bottom line.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Additional formal education or training in Quality Assurance for manufacturing operation is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive quality leadership experience in electronic manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in electronics, industrial equipment, IoT devices, embedded systems, or related technology products.
  • Ability to champion corporate level planning and implementation of quality initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and leadership in both quality methodology and quality systems, including ISO 9001.
  • Experience leading root cause investigations and corrective action programs.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and continuously improve the Company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring consistent quality standards across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and administrative functions.
  • Develop and execute the organization's quality strategy, objectives, metrics, and improvement initiatives to support customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and business growth. including the ISO 9001 program.
  • Demonstrates judgment to balance quality conformance with sound business practices, recognizing that DMP exists to generate substantial profit for its stakeholders. Leads with conviction that professional integrity and product quality are essential contributors to financial success - not obstacles to it.
  • Establish, maintain, and audit quality procedures, work instructions, standards, and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
  • Direct product testing, repair, rework, warranty return, and failure analysis activities, including investigation of dead-on-arrival (DOA) products and customer-reported quality issues.
  • Ensures that products and services meet customer needs and expectations to fulfill corporate quality objectives.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts to reduce defects, improve reliability, and prevent recurrence of quality issues. When necessary, implements corrective action plans and monitors the effectiveness of the solutions.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing quality organization while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and quality throughout the company.
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations to executive leadership regarding quality performance, risks, trends, customer feedback, and strategic improvement opportunities.
  • Observes and adheres to DMP data Classification Standard.
  • Observes company policies. Continuously strives to find processes that create improved efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements. Acknowledges responsibility to satisfy the customer, reduce cycle time and eliminate waste.
