Director of Continuous Improvement

Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Director of Continuous Improvement to lead and scale
enterprise-wide CI initiatives across multiple sites. This role will play a critical part in driving
operational excellence, improving processes, and building a culture of continuous improvement
throughout the organization.
This position reports directly to executive leadership (President & CEO) and will have high
visibility and impact across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute company-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy across
multiple locations
Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency,
quality, and cost performance
Partner with leadership to optimize performance and align CI initiatives with business
objectives
Build and scale CI processes across all sites within the first 6–12 months
Implement and manage QMS (Quality Management Systems) and process
standardization
Lead Kaizen events and foster a hands-on, problem-solving culture
Identify and execute opportunities in manufacturing, processing, and operational
workflows
Collaborate closely with operations, quality, and executive teams
Develop and mentor CI talent, promoting certifications such as Green Belt/Lean
Provide data-driven insights and reporting to executive leadership
Qualifications
Proven experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Operational Excellence
leadership
Strong background in manufacturing or processing environments (mining, chemical,
paint, or similar preferred)
Experience implementing CI initiatives across multiple sites or business units
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to both strategize and execute
Strong knowledge of QMS and quality systems
Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred)
Ability to influence at all levels, including executive leadership
Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Macon, GA area
Preferred Background
Experience in mining, industrial processing, chemical, or related industries
Exposure to scaling CI functions across growing organizations
Strong operational and process improvement track record
