POSITION: Director of Community Living
STATUS: Full-Time; 40 hours/week
SCHEDULE / HOURS: Flexible to meet the needs of the caseload (primarily daylight)
LOCATION: McKees Rocks PA

 

Citizen Care Inc., a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., provides residential, day program, habilitation, supported employment opportunities and behavioral support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are a non-profit organization, accredited by the Council on Quality & Leadership. Citizen Care has locations throughout the West Hills and South Hills of Allegheny County.

 

The Community Living Director is responsible to an Assistant Executive Director of Community Living for the management of a component of the Community Living division of Citizen Care, Inc. All responsibilities shall be completed in a manner consistent with the Vision, Mission and Values of CCI.

Responsibilities:

JOB DUTIES:

  • Knowledge, understanding, and commitment to assisting people to achieve personal outcomes and goals
  • Assume responsibilities that support the attainment of personal outcomes for people as demonstrated by, but not limited to:
      1. Health Care Services
      2. Personal outcomes
      3. Services and supports planning
      4. Therapeutic Support Plans
      5. Daily Plans
      6. Individual Records
  • Supervise assigned management and professional staff
  • Assure Managers are hiring, supervising, training, evaluating, scheduling in-services and performing other related management responsibilities as required
  • Conduct staff meetings as needed / required and coordinate Quality Management activities
  • Keep the Assistant Executive Director well informed of the day-to-day operations of the designated component
  • Submit reportable incidents to comply with all Incident Management / HCSIS Regulations / requirements
  • Performance of all ISP duties of the Acting Program Specialist in accordance with the 6400 Regulations
  • Other related duties as required

Qualifications:

            Associates degree, six (6) years of supervisory experience and six (6) years experience providing services and supports to people with intellectual disabilities/Autism in a residential setting

                                                                     OR

Bachelor’s degree, four (4) years of supervisory experience and five (5) years’ experience providing services and supports to people with intellectual disabilities/Autism in a residential setting

                                                         OR

Masters' degree, two (2) years of supervisory experience and three (3) years’ experience providing services and supports to people with intellectual disabilities/Autism in a residential setting

 

2.         Knowledge and experience in the development/implementation of effective systems, which address licensing/accreditation/regulations across residential homes required

 

3.         Prior experience in developing and implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs) for people with intellectual disabilities

 

4.         Ability to maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public, demonstrating sensitivity to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the agency's public image

 

5.         Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines

 

6.         Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

 

7.         Act 34 Clearance and FBI Clearance, as applicable

Minimum Compensation: USD $62,000.00/Yr. Maximum Compensation: USD $68,000.00/Yr.

Partners For Quality provides administrative management to five subsidiary organizations that support local individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. PFQ’s management services include Fiscal (including payroll), HR, IT and Communications – thus allowing subsidiaries to focus on their day-to-day priorities. Exceptional Adventures has more than 40 years of experience providing vacation opportunities, social events and monthly dances for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our recreational and travel programs are designed to support guests in a wide variety of activities. Organized trips include motor coach, flight, train and cruise packages which are offered year-round.

Milestone Centers supports individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania. Our Agency oversees 20 residential settings, two outpatient offices, three adult training facilities, a prevocational enterprise program, a consumer drop-in center, habilitation services, and two Health Care Quality Units in Butler and Warren, which train professionals in 18 counties. Milestone Centers has earned certification from the Sanctuary Institute for providing trauma-informed care.

The Partners For Quality Foundation conducts fundraising for all organizational services and supports.  Partners For Quality Inc. receives operating funds through various sources, private gifts, grants and special events helping the agency go “above and beyond” basic needs. The Foundation’s goal is to build and strengthen PFQ’s support resources to supplement government dollars.
