Job Summary
The Director of College, Career, and Multilingual Success is responsible for the oversight of EML support services, and the direction and oversight of College and Career Readiness (CCR) initiatives, including directing the District's Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathways, facilitating TK-12 and post-secondary articulation and dual enrollment opportunities, Work Experience Education, and supporting college and career readiness initiatives across the district. In collaboration with Educational Services staff, the Director oversees support services for multilingual students; ensures EML program effectiveness by implementing State and Federal English Learner regulations and District policy. The Director oversees the Family Engagement and Language Access Unit; and builds the capacity of district leadership and staff to promote parents and families as equal partners in the educational system in order to become better advocates for their children's education.

Requirements / Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience Strong candidates will have a California teaching credential with a Bilingual Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) credential, EL authorization (CLAD), or equivalent. A Master''s Degree is preferred. Prior background and experience at a school district and/or site administrative or principal preferred. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Prior experience and exemplary outcomes around long range planning and coordination of complex systems such as master schedules, grant-writing, recruitment, and hiring are highly desirable. A valid California Administrative Services Credential. A strong background of successful teaching experience. Desire for second language proficiency in Spanish or other language to match community needs.
