Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, one of the region's largest and most trusted providers of reproductive health care, is looking for an inspiring leader and knowledgeable clinician with a deep commitment to sexual and reproductive freedom and social justice. The Director of Clinical Services will partner with a dynamic Clinical Support Team (CST) that provides frontline healthcare at our health centers across CT and RI, providing over 100,000 visits to patients annually.
In collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Director for Clinical Services works closely with CST members and other Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) departments to ensure that our health centers provide person-centered, high-quality care that complies with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), federal, state, and local requirements. The Director of Clinical Services plans, writes policies for, and coordinates and evaluates health care services at PPSNE.
This position supervises the Lead Clinicians, the Orchard Lab Manager, and the Clinical and Research Coordinator. The Director for Clinical Services reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer and is a vital member of the Clinical Support Team.
Essential Functions
In partnership with the CMO and the Medical Director, the Director of Clinical Services directs, coordinates, and evaluates clinical services provided to patients, in consultation with the Clinical Support Team, and other appropriate personnel. They ensure the delivery of an efficient, culturally responsive, and timely health care service that lives up to our commitment to provide the highest quality, accessible, patient-centered care that is outcomes- and impact-oriented with a focus on addressing health disparities. They focus on new project implementation and urgent issues that arise and work closely with center managers and their direct reports on staff recruitment and hiring.
Directs recruitment, selection, and development of clinical staff.
Develops and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and medical standards and guidelines, ensuring that state, PPFA and PPSNE standards are understood and met.
