Kroontje Health Care Center at Warm Hearth Village


Warm Hearth Village is seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Director of Clinical Services for the Kroontje Health Care Center. This key leadership role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents while leading a dedicated clinical team committed to excellence in long-term care and assisted living. 

Reporting to the Administrator, the Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the overall clinical operations of the Kroontje Health Care Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong clinical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for mentoring, developing, and empowering nursing professionals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all daily clinical and nursing operations within the facility.
  • Ensure residents receive compassionate, individualized, high-quality care that promotes dignity, safety, and quality of life.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities, long-term care services and assisted living services.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, rehabilitation services, and other departments to achieve positive resident outcomes and organizational goals.
  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and clinical excellence.
  • Monitor quality indicators, conduct clinical audits, and implement process improvements to enhance resident care, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain clinical systems, policies, and procedures that promote operational efficiency and best practices.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, clinical documentation, infection prevention, and quality assurance initiatives are effectively managed.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and leader, supporting staff, residents, and families through excellent communication and compassionate care.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations governing Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), long-term care operations and Assisted Living regulations.
  • Minimum of five(5) years of experience in a Director of Nursing, Director of Clinical Services, or other nursing leadership role.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and staff development skills.
  • Strong analytical, auditing, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience in an assisted living, long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance.

Compensation & Benefits

Warm Hearth Village offers a competitive salary starting at $100,000, commensurate with experience, along with an outstanding benefits package, including:
