A leading global third-party administrator (TPA) is seeking an experienced Director of Claims to lead a high-performing Workers' Compensation claims operation. This leadership role is responsible for driving claim outcomes, ensuring operational excellence, developing talent, and delivering exceptional service to clients while maintaining regulatory compliance and best-in-class claim handling standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for Workers' Compensation claims operations.
  • Manage and develop claims management staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure quality claim handling practices that align with organizational standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor operational performance through key metrics, reporting, and data analysis to drive efficiency and claim outcomes.
  • Partner with clients, brokers, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership to address service needs and support business objectives.
  • Oversee claim reserving practices, settlement authority, litigation management, and complex claim resolution.
  • Implement process improvements and operational initiatives designed to enhance service delivery and financial performance.
  • Support business development efforts through client presentations, stewardship meetings, and operational expertise.
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ten (10) or more years of claims management experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of leadership or supervisory experience within a claims environment.
  • Deep knowledge of Workers' Compensation claims administration and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive operational results.
  • Strong communication, client relationship management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Industry designations such as CPCU, ARM, AIM, and/or AIC.
  • Applicable claims licenses as required by jurisdiction.
