Pay: $100,000 - $120,000 a yearWe are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Claims to lead our claims management operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing claims processing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall claims experience. Key Responsibilities:Claims Management & Strategy Develop and implement claims strategies to optimize processes, control costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Oversee claims handling, investigations, and settlements to ensure timely and fair resolutions. Manage relationships with third-party administrators, claims vendors, brokers, and insurance carriers. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and industry regulations. Analyze claims trends and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies.Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of claims professionals. Provide training and support to enhance technical expertise and service quality. Establish performance metrics, conduct evaluations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Operational Excellence & Compliance Develop and implement claims policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency. Work cross-functionally with legal, finance, underwriting, and risk management teams. Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to compliance requirements.Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze claims data to identify trends, cost drivers, and areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on claim performance and financial impact. Utilize technology and automation to enhance claims processing efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field. 7+ years of claims management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Expertise in property & casualty, cargo, and workers' compensation claims, particularly in the transportation industry. Experience managing large deductible and/or self-insured retention programs. Strong knowledge of complex tort litigation and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in claims management software and data analysis tools. Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications: Proven track record of cost-saving strategies and process improvements.
