Director of Case Management – Las Vegas, NV

An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced Case Management leader to join one of the largest and most advanced acute care hospitals in Nevada. This high-profile leadership role offers the chance to oversee a large, complex Case Management division within a nationally recognized healthcare environment known for clinical excellence, advanced specialty care, and strong executive leadership support.

This Level II Trauma Center serves as a major regional referral facility with nearly 790 beds, more than 34,000 annual admissions, approximately 88,000 emergency visits, and over 215,000 outpatient visits annually. The organization has been serving the Las Vegas community for decades and is recognized for advanced stroke care, pediatric specialty services, and high-acuity patient care.

Compensation & Incentives:
Salary range: $135,004 – $202,555 based on experience
Incentive bonus target of 17.5%
$10,000 sign-on bonus
Relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis

Position Overview:
The Director of Case Management will provide strategic and operational oversight for all hospital Case Management operations, including Care Management, Social Work, and Chaplain Services. This leader will be responsible for driving patient throughput, discharge planning efficiency, resource utilization, compliance, and interdisciplinary collaboration across the hospital.

The ideal candidate will be a strong operational and strategic leader who can independently analyze performance data, develop action plans, build physician relationships, and lead large teams in a fast-paced acute care environment.

This role requires executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all daily operations for:

  • Case Management
  • Social Work
  • Chaplain Services

Direct departmental strategy, staffing models, onboarding, competencies, workflows, and performance improvement initiatives

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and care coordination best practices

Drive improvements in patient throughput, discharge planning, length of stay, and resource utilization

Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies

Partner closely with hospital executive leadership, physicians, nursing leadership, ancillary departments, legal, ethics, and compliance teams

Develop strong working relationships with post-acute providers and community resources to support continuity of care

Participate in weekend call rotation as operational needs require

Leadership Scope:
Reports to the Vice President of Case Management

Oversight of approximately 110 FTEs

Direct oversight of:

  • 4 Managers
  • 1 Social Work Supervisor
  • 1 Administrative Assistant

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required

Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration preferred

Current RN, LCSW, or LMSW licensure required

Minimum of 3 years of acute care hospital Case Management experience required

Minimum of 2 years of Case Management leadership experience required

Must possess strong operational leadership skills, data-driven decision-making abilities, and experience leading large teams in complex acute care environments

Candidates should demonstrate strong physician relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, accountability, and the ability to independently drive initiatives and results
