Job Details:The Director of the Division of Cardiovascular Imaging Services at St. Francis Hospital is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial oversight of all cardiovascular imaging services across hospital-based and outpatient settings. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered cardiovascular imaging services while aligning departmental operations with the mission, vision, and strategic objectives of St. Francis Hospital.
The Director works in close collaboration with the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Imaging Services and reports directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of St. Francis Hospital.
Responsibilities:
The Director has administrative oversight and accountability for all cardiovascular imaging services, including the main hospital-based department, outpatient centers, and specialty units. Areas under this role include:

- Cardiac Imaging
- Nuclear Cardiology
- Cardiac MRI
DeMatteis Center
- Cardiac CT
- Echocardiography (ECHO)
- Cardiac MRI
2200 CIC Department
- Echocardiography (ECHO)
- Stress Echocardiography
- SPECT
- Cardiac PET
These services operate within a unified Division of Cardiovascular Imaging Services, delivering coordinated care across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural environments.
Leadership and Organizational Structure
- Provides leadership and administrative oversight to multiple managers, supervisors, and direct reports across the division.
- Oversees a multidisciplinary cardiovascular imaging team comprised of:
- Cardiologists
- Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Nursing staff
- Technologists
- Patient Care Assistants (PCAs)
- Ancillary and support personnel
- Promotes a culture where leadership, communication, collaboration, and teamwork are essential tools for ensuring an efficient, high-performing, and successful cardiovascular imaging program.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Develops and executes strategic and operational plans for cardiovascular imaging services in partnership with executive leadership and the Medical Director.
- Ensures consistent, efficient, and high-quality operations across all imaging modalities and locations.
- Establishes standardized workflows, policies, and procedures to support safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversees accreditation, regulatory readiness, and quality improvement initiatives.
Financial Management
- Prepares, manages, and monitors departmental and divisional budgets.
- Oversees fiscal performance, productivity benchmarks, and resource utilization.
- Leads capital planning and equipment acquisition, including evaluation, purchase, maintenance, and replacement of imaging equipment.
- Identifies opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost containment while maintaining clinical excellence.
Human Resources & Workforce Management
- Oversees staffing models, recruitment, onboarding, retention, and professional development.
- Ensures appropriate staffing coverage for inpatient and outpatient services.
- Conducts and supports performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Fosters employee engagement, accountability, and a positive work environment.
Collaboration, Communication & Physician Alignment
- Works collaboratively with the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Imaging Services to align administrative and clinical priorities.
- Serves as a liaison among physicians, hospital leadership, nursing, and ancillary departments.
- Supports interdisciplinary communication to enhance care coordination and operational effectiveness.
Quality, Safety & Patient Experience
- Ensures delivery of cardiovascular imaging services that meet or exceed quality, safety, and patient experience standards.
- Oversees performance metrics, operational dashboards, and patient satisfaction outcomes.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives focused on clinical excellence and service delivery.
Reporting Relationship
- Reports to: Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), St. Francis Hospital
- Works in partnership with: Medical Director of Cardiovascular Imaging Services
Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership in complex healthcare organizations
- Strong operational, financial, and strategic management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites
- Commitment to collaboration, teamwork, and patient-centered care
- Bachelors Degree Required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Posted Salary Range: USD $59.00 - USD $92.00 /Hr. :
