Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is currently seeking a Director of Business Development to join our Mission Next Division (MNX). This highly visible role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record of inspiring and empowering a team to achieve exceptional results in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to senior leadership and an ambassador for our team's mission. This position will be responsible for driving Mission Systems customer engagement activities within the division and across the NGC enterprise. The director will also ensure that MNX adheres to a formal set of customer engagement processes that develop and foster long-term relationships with domestic and international customers.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in business development, domestic and international customer/supplier engagements, and will be directly responsible for business development and partnership activities. We are seeking a committed team player who can work effectively within the Business Development organization as well as collaboratively with our Corporate Global Business Development Office, the Corporate Legislative Affairs team, and the Mission Systems divisions' Business Development & Capture and Program Management organizations for the purpose of cultivating qualified opportunities for the divisions' pipelines and developing partnerships to strengthen offerings across the sector.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience in the following areas: Deep understanding of protocols, detailed needs and communication styles of senior USG officials and flag/general officers, as well as the ability to develop effective messaging appropriate for these levels.
The location for this role is in the Baltimore, MD area. An alternative location of Northern Virginia will be considered but there must be a willingness to be in Baltimore weekly. This position reports to the General Manager of the MNX Division.

Primary Level Salary Range: $194,600.00 - $292,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate''s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
